Begun in 2009 by acclaimed singer/songwriter Lauren Field, Rock Chorus offers an alternative to the traditional choir, with a pioneering approach to singing and entertainment. Every voice counts in Rock Chorus, and all of our members sing in three part harmony - blending together to make a fantastic, professional sound.
Lauren Field (Rock Chorus leader and founder)
Lauren Field trained at the
Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. She started her career in musical theatre performing in the West End and the provinces. Her passion for music took over and before long she was working as an in demand session singer for artists as diverse as Cliff Richard, Bonnie Tyler, Elvis Costello and The Who making regular TV and radio appearances.
As a songwriter Lauren was writing for herself and other artists. She writes regularly with multi-million sellers
Randy Bachman (Bachman Turner Overdrive) and
Hamish Stewart (The Average White Band) amongst other rock and pop music luminaries. She currently has cuts on several international albums, a recent hit song (Save Me) in Georgia and throughout Eastern Europe (2011) and the USA film
"Three Priests" for which she wrote and performed the title song.
Lauren released her last studio album "Modern Woman" in 2004 in the UK, followed by her double live and DVD album
From Berlin to Brooklyn. They were critically very well-received and are played regularly on regional and national radio. She became a regular performer at prestige London Venues including The Pizza Express Jazz Club, Soho and Pizza on the Park in Knightsbridge and headlined at
The Royal Albert Hall. The album was licensed to a pan-european deal with a major German record label and was released across Europe in 2005. Lauren and her band undertook a series of tours. During 2005 to 2008 Lauren and her band performed to packed houses throughout Europe.
Alongside her professional artist career Lauren has carved a separate and equally fulfilling career as a teacher for the past 20 years. She trained in voice production under Mary Hammond and Voice Therapy, worked in the school system as a peripatetic singing teacher for 10 years as well as taking private students.
She taught the Voice Production Diagnostic and Song Writing modules at Vocaltech, (one of the prestigious group of Tech Schools in West London) as well as re-writing song writing programmes for Thames Valley University. She holds a PTTLS qualification for teaching in the FE sector. She holds regular workshops both in the UK and abroad and last year undertook a series of Master Classes in Russia and the Baltic states. She was also the vocal coach on Russia's answer to Pop Idol -
Superstars in Moscow.

Charles Foskett (Rock Chorus Marketing)

Charles is an immensely talented, very active and inspirational veteran record producer. He is an intuitive musical director and composer who will always succeed in lifting the creative game plan of the artist he is developing and helps to broaden the scope of the client's marketplace. Charles' wealth of experience comes from having worked in many areas of the music industry - As a "hands-on" record producer he has worked with a host of different artists throughout his career including two Beatles, Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.

Charles was responsible for putting together THE ANTI HEROIN PROJECT, a Band Aid for the anti drug campaign, which not only resulted in a double album entitled "It.s a Live in World" but also the offer of a top position at the home office in London, working as David Mellor's right hand man. Charles declined the offer with preferences to pop music over politics!
The album, which featured a huge number of famous names from the world of rock and pop, consisted of thirty tracks, twelve of which Charles wrote and co-wrote and fifteen of which he produced. The album was released by EMI Records and Charles was responsible not only for the original idea, the writing and production, but also for bringing together hundreds of big names for a worthy cause.
Charles Foskett is a full Member of "The Music Producers Guild" (MPG) and also a member of "The Music Managers Forum" (MMF).
Charles is a mine of creative talent. He is an artist, working mainly in oil paint, and one of his works was recently accepted for the Summer Exhibition at London's Royal Academy.
He is also in the process of writing an autobiography entitled "Ashtray on a Motorbike". The stories promise to be hilariously funny accounts of life attempting to climb the ladder of success, anecdotal tales of his escapades over the years with many famous people from not only the world of pop music but also film too.
